University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman students stormed Quezon Hall as they demand the return of the university as a safe space in a mobilization organized by the League of College Councils, 12 noon today.

UP Diliman Chancellor Michael Tan was present in the protest and assured the UP community that the administration is taking steps to hold involved individuals and organizations accountable.

UP President Danilo Concepcion, who was conspicuously absent during the mobilization, released a statement earlier today assuring the UP community that he has instructed Chancellor Tan to expedite the investigation regarding all fraternity-related issues.

The protest was prompted by the recent leak of an alleged groupchat by some members of the Upsilon Sigma Phi early this week. The same fraternity was also involved in an altercation with the Alpha Phi Beta fraternity last week.
